A Little Hug in a Box -- Wendy's Favorites

A Little Hug in a Box

Introducing: Wendy’s Favorites

Hi, there! Wendy here!

It’s my birthday month.

And every year around this time, I find myself doing the same thing:
pausing.

Not in a dramatic, fireworks-and-confetti kind of way.
More in a quiet, tea-steeping, morning-light kind of way.

Another year older.
Another year softer.
Another year more certain about what matters.

I don’t crave more noise anymore.
I crave meaning. Texture. Small rituals. Things that feel like home.

So instead of doing something flashy for my birthday this year, I wanted to create something honest.

Something that feels like me.

Something that feels like a little hug in a box.

And that’s how Wendy’s Favorites was born.

Not a Surprise — Just Something True

Our launch boxes are layered with mystery and unfolding moments.

This one is different.

There are no surprises here.
No twists.
No hidden reveals.

Just a thoughtfully gathered collection of things that, if you stepped into my world, you would find close by.

It’s a snapshot of what I love.
What calms me.
What I reach for without thinking.

Edna St. Vincent Millay

Poetry has always felt like a quiet companion.

Edna’s words are tender and observant and a little fierce. She writes about longing and nature and the complicated beauty of being human — and every time I open her pages, I feel both steadied and stirred.

Poetry isn’t something you rush through.

It’s something you return to.

A few lines before bed.
A stanza in the afternoon light.

It invites you to sit still long enough to notice your own thoughts.

And that, to me, is romanticizing your life in the simplest way.

Wildflower Seed Packets

If I could tuck something hopeful into every corner of the world, it would be seeds.

Wildflowers don’t ask for perfection.
They grow where they can.
They bloom anyway.

Planting seeds feels like an act of quiet optimism.

Pressing them into the soil.
Waiting.
Trusting something beautiful will come.

There is something deeply grounding about putting your hands in dirt and believing in what you cannot yet see.

Diamond Painting Flower Bookmarks

Crafting is how I return to myself.

When my mind feels loud or full, small repetitive movements — placing each tiny diamond, watching something sparkly take shape — bring me back to center.

These flower-shaped diamond painting bookmarks (that can also catch the sun as suncatchers) feel joyful and gentle all at once.

They turn reading into a ritual.
They catch the light.
They remind you that even small details can shimmer.

There is calm in creating.

Cheez-Its & 🥜 PB M&Ms

And then… there are the snacks.

If you’ve ever been on a road trip with me or sat through a late-night planning session, you already know:

Cheez-Its are non-negotiable.
PB M&Ms are elite.

Salty and sweet.
Nostalgic and comforting.

Because romanticizing your life doesn’t always mean linen dresses and pressed flowers.

Sometimes it means orange crackers in a tiny travel pack.
Sometimes it means peanut butter chocolate at 3pm.

Both are allowed.
Both are joy.

A Birthday Reflection

As I step into another year, I’m realizing this:

I want my life to feel curated, not crowded.

I want:

  • Fewer things, more meaning.

  • Slower evenings.

  • Books that linger.

  • Crafts that quiet my thoughts.

  • Seeds in the ground.

  • Snacks in my bag.

I want softness.
And intention.
And little moments that feel like they belong to me.

This box is a reflection of that.

Why We’re Creating A-La-Carte Favorites

Craft’n Pages has always been about experiences — not just packages.

From time to time, we’re creating these one-off, personality-driven boxes connected to each of us.

Same heart.
Same attention to detail.
Just a little more personal.

This one happens to be mine.

It’s not about impressing anyone.
It’s about sharing what steadies me.
What delights me.
What feels like home.

If this collection feels like you too — if you love poetry, wildflowers, sparkly crafts, and unapologetic snack joy — I’d be honored to send one your way.

And if nothing else, I hope it inspires you to gather your own favorites.

To choose what feels calm.
To plant something.
To read slowly.
To savor your snacks.

To curate your life with tenderness.
